College. University. Homework. Coursework. Making friends. Fitting in. Family. Money. A job.

The list is endless. Problem after problem that runs through our heads every night before we go to sleep. Our stomach churns, mouths go dry, head goes dizzy at the meer thought of life and the obstacles it lays before us.

A problem can never be seen in the light. Every tiny issue is the end of the world, whether its a cheating boyfriend or a late homework hand-in, nothing could be worse.

I myself, am a culprit of severe worrying. When a problem is thrown in my direction I can be blinded in terror of what where when and why it ever happened, or how I can even get out. I walk down the street, peeking at everyone I pass wondering, do they ever have to deal with what I do?

And of course, in my little stressed head of mine, the answer is no. Everyone else lives their perfect lives with big grins on their faces and not one issue ever sprouting up. However, if I find the minute to take in a breath, relax and take off my ‘worry goggles’, I begin to see that maybe, just maybe, I’m not alone.

Although some may be richer, prettier, thinner, or whatever may seem perfect according to society, no matter who you are or what life you lead, we all have our own problems. And you know what? That’s okay. It’s okay to worry, its okay to cry now and then, its okay to feel like life is too much because, that’s normal. That’s life. It will shoot you and hit you with all sorts of debt and losses and redundancies, but we’re all in this together, we’re all in the same boat, and we’re all surviving.

So whatever problems you have right now, whatever it is that’s getting you down, just remember, it isn’t really all that bad. Although it may seem like the end of the world, you aren’t alone and you can get through it. Don’t wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain.

Dream. Succeed. Achieve.
