On The Show
Why did you apply for the show?
Me and my house mates all applied for the show for a bit of banter, and I was the only one that got a call back!

What did you expect from the show when you got told you were going to be on Take Me Out?
Just a general laugh really, bit of a joke with Paddy and the lads on my show, and a nice little break with a lovely lady (hopefully).

When you first came down the lift, who caught your eye the most?
It was such a buzz coming down the lift, it was all a bit of a blur to be honest, but if I would have to say one girl it would probably be Lucy, because she was one of the girls nearest to the lift. Nothing to do with the fact that she has a great pair of personalities…

In the end, why did you pick Abi?
Abi seemed nice and bubbly whenever she spoke, which is always a bonus, no one likes a boring girl. Plus she seemed to compliment me a lot which was nice!

After picking Abi, have you seen her since the island of Fernando?
No not really, we text each other now and again but only as friends, we had a great time together in Fernando’s so it was nice we could share that experience.

What was it like going through the whole Take Me Out experience?
It was crazy! Application forms, phone calls, travelling, we were quite busy, but I don’t regret any of it. Embarrassing myself on TV has never been so fun!

Do you get a lot more attention now you’ve been on TV?
Yeah I do get recognised quite a bit in the street which is surreal. “You’re that Tom guy off Take Me Out, can we have a picture?!” is normally how it goes. Obviously I get some haters but I’ve had that for the past 5 years through my modelling, so I’ve learned to grow thick skin.One of my favourite quotes is “Haters don’t really hate you, they hate themselves; because you’re a reflection of what they wish to be”.

Has Take Me Out changed your life in any respect?
No not really, other than the whole ‘being recognised’ thing, but if anything does come from being on the show then I’m all ears!

On Dating

What is your best chat up line?
My favourite line is “Do you have home insurance? Because I wanna smash your back doors in!”. It gets a mixed response.

How would you describe your ideal girl in three words?
Funny, sexy & tall…..ish.

What would be your perfect date?
Probably the 7th October…it’s my birthday! Funny stuff. I’ll probably enjoy something active like jet-skiing, then a nice meal in the evening, then back to mine for a good game of Scrabble.

Since the show, have you found love (with or without Abi)?
I haven’t! I’m still single ladies!
