So its pretty obvious that the popular shops among the majority of us students (especially the females) tend to be the likes of Topshop, Miss Selfridge, RiverIsland etc… With nearly everything a female like myself could desire; fabulous shorts, gorgeous tops, about a trillion different dresses and accessories galore! What more could we ask for?! Well actually quite a lot i’m afraid to say…
Yes, the vast ranges available are rather fabulous, and I do love a good shopping trip among these stores but I find myself having that little conversation in my head on a regular basis, ‘If I had the money i would get this, if I had the money I would so get that!’ So i’m guessing you’re getting the drift- these shops are far to expensive for students to do that much loved regular shop. I seem to think these high-street stores forget the main definition of us students, of course which is SKINT.
I’m almost sure that these stores prime buyers are the likes of students, or the younger generations. Well I would hope so- Picturing my Mother or Grandma in the many hot pants or crop tops these shops sell is not a flattering image- if i may say so myself…
I just wish parents would understand the prices of these stores nowa’days. It is absurd that your basic outfit could cost between £40-£50 , but there is nothing I can do about it mother.
I guess this is some sort of plea, a beg if you look at it in another way- PLEASE LOWER YOUR PRICES. However, I suppose that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Maybe one day these company’s will see sense- in the mean time, quite frankly I guess we will all just have to scrape by, that is unless you’re loaded.
