I recently took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer which Boots had on Bourjois products. I decided to pick up the Healthy Mix Serum Foundation as a budget alternative to my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I haven’t tried the original Healthy Mix Foundation so I don’t know how they compare but I can give you my thoughts on the Serum Foundation.

Bourjois says: It’s fresh and instant blending gel texture blends and glides onto the skin for an even, natural finish with no mask effect. Imperfections are erased, signs of fatigue are smoothed and the skin’s radiance is boosted for up to 16 hours.

The packaging is good as it comes in a nice bottle with a pump. The bottle is plastic which is great because knowing how clumsy I am it will be dropped a few times! The pump is a nice feature as it allows you to get the right amount of product with no waste.

It smells slightly fruity which is quite pleasant. Bourjois boasts that it is a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula with litchi (lychee), goji berries and pomegranates. Well this sounds good to me! Fruit in my foundation has got to be a good thing.
Pros
It’s light weight but can be built to cover any spots or blemishes, which is important for me as I have dark acne scarring.
It smells lush! You just get a wiff of the fruit scents as you blend it in.
Lasts quite well, does need touch ups but I always have to with any foundation.
Semi matte formulation gives a glow without looking greasy.
Cons
The scent may cause people to break out or have bad reactions to it, but it’s fine for me.
Not a wide shade range, this colour is slightly too dark even though it’s the lightest, I just bronze my neck to blend.
